The Austin Area Foundation is a community foundation governed by a volunteer Board of Directors whose members live in Austin and greater Mower County. The board is committed to ensuring that the spirit and intent of each gift is honored. The Austin Area Foundation seeks to enhance the community through charitable giving.

Criteria for application: The project must benefit the people of Austin, Minnesota The organization applying must be operated for charitable, educational or scientific purposes with no part of their funds benefiting any private shareholder or individual.
Eligible applicants are non profit organizations in Minnesota serving the Austin area.
Applications are to be submitted bu September 1, annually.
Award amounts vary.
