The Anschutz Family Foundation supports rural and urban Colorado nonprofit organizations that assist people to help themselves while nurturing and preserving their self-respect. They encourage endeavors that strengthen families and communities and advance individuals to become productive & responsible citizens.
Anschutz Family Foundation's mission is purposely broad, allowing it to support endeavors that strengthen families and communities and help individuals become productive and responsible citizens. The Foundation has a special interest in self-sufficiency, community development and programs aimed at the economically disadvantaged, the young, the elderly and the disabled. The Foundation is also dedicated to funding efforts in rural Colorado.
Anschutz Family Foundation typically provides grants to Colorado nonprofit organizations offering programs and services that fit within one or more of our grant funding areas:
In 2020 alone, the Foundation awarded 300 grants totaling $2,308,357. More than 48% of those grants were directed toward nonprofits serving Colorado's rural communities or providing services statewide. Applications are accepted online by 5 pm on January 15 or July 1, annually.
Awards typically range from $5,000 to $10,000, but do not exceed 10 percent of an organization's annual budget.
