  • Eligibility Details

    Eligible applicants are non profit organizations that serve subjects and populations of interest to The Fraentzel Foundation. Giving is focused throughout northern New Jersey, with some emphasis on Essex County. No grants are made to individuals.

    Deadline Details

    Initial approach should be through a letter of intent sent to the foundation. The board will review letters, and invite those with projects of interest to submit a full proposal. If invited, applicants should be prepared to submit a full application form with the following information by the funder's annual December 1 deadline:

    1. Listing of board of directors, trustees, officers and other key people and their affiliations
    2. Name, address and phone number of organization
    3. Copy of IRS Determination Letter
    4. Detailed description of project and amount of funding requested

    Award Details

    Award amounts vary based on the scope of projects. Awards are up to $10,000. Most awards are less than $5,000.
