COMMUNITY GRANTS PROGRAM
Alliant Energy Foundation funds projects that fit into one of three focus areas: Helping Families, Education and the Environment. Grant applications are accepted in February and August of each year. Grants typically range from $500 to $5,000 to support programs and projects making an impact in Alliant Energy communities.
HOMETOWN CHALLENGE GRANT PROGRAM
A Hometown Safety grant from Alliant Energy Foundation helps fund safety-related equipment. Grant applications are accepted in April, August and December. Grants are typically $1,000 and help provide your community's first responders with the tools they need to take care of your residents.
CORPORATE SPONSORSHIPS
Every year, Alliant Energy supports hundreds of programs and events throughout our communities in Iowa and Wisconsin. We specifically support programs in our three focus areas (Helping Families, Education and the Environment), as well as community festivals, safety events and diversity programs. Corporate sponsorship requests are accepted 11 months out of the year with our online application.
History of Funding

In the past 20 years, Alliant has given back more than $50 million through the Foundation. Previous awardees are highlighted on the program website.

No support for athletes or teams, fraternal or social clubs, third party funding groups, fiscal agents, religious organizations not of direct benefit to the entire community, or discriminatory organizations. No grants to individuals (except for scholarships), or for advertising, door prizes, raffle tickets, dinner tables, golf outings or sponsorships of organized sports teams or activities, sporting events or tournaments, endowments, registration fees or participation fees, books, magazines or professional journal articles, political activities, salaries, facilities costs or general operating expenses, capital campaigns, or "bricks and mortar" projects.
Eligibility Details

Giving primarily is limited to nonprofit organizations in Wisconsin and Iowa communities served by Alliant Energy. A list of these communities is available at https://www.alliantenergy.com/CustomerService/AlliantEnergyService/CommunitiesWeServe
Deadline Details

Interested applicants should first complete the online eligibility quiz before submitting an application. Application windows are open twice a year, each year. The first deadline is on March 1 and the second deadline is September 1, annually. Applications will begin being accepted 30 days before these dates. If a deadline date occurs on a weekend or holiday the deadline will occur on the following business day.

Awards vary based on scope and size of project. Awards are up to $500,000.
