    Summary

    The goal of the Delaware Highway Safety Program is to prevent roadway fatalities and injuries as a result of crashes related to driver behavior. For information regarding Core Performance Goals for the State, see the 2022 Highway Safety Plan (HSP) at: http://ohs.delaware.gov/reports.shtml. 


    The Delaware Highway Safety Office provides funding for the following programs: 

    • Distracted Driving
    • Impaired Driving
    • Motorcycle Safety
    • Occupant Protection – Seat belt usage and Child Passenger Safety
    • Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety
    • Speed
    • Teen Driving
    • Traffic Records
    • Older Driver Safety
    • Other
